Gordon Road Tenants & Residents Association formally known as Shipley Walk TARA are looking for new members from the community to join the group and take a lead role to help contribute to improving the area in which we live.

Over the years, the group have been driven by committed members of the community and have been well supported by representatives from local organisations including YHN, NCC and other service providers to help deal with various issues and improvements which tenants look to make to the area. The group have strong links with the Byker Community Trust (BCT) and we would like to invite new members of the community to join the TARA in particular, to take a lead role in driving the TARA forward.

The group would like to become a more active group within Byker but to do this and achieve the best, we are looking for your support. We hold monthly meetings which of course are not compulsory to attend, however those who do attend the TARA have been successful in resolving urgent matters and find that further opportunities to better the community are now arising.
