As you may have heard in the news, the Government has announced a move to Plan B and the introduction of new guidance to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
You’ve probably seen in the news that the £20 weekly increase in payments for those claiming Universal Credit (UC) and Working Tax Credits that was introduced last year, comes to an end on 6 October.
Over the Christmas period, payments made online between 24 December and 1 January will not show in your balance or appear in your online account until on or after 2 January 2026.
To avoid paying more than once, please check with your bank before making another payment.
