Contractor appointed to carry out improvement works on Byker Estate
Gateshead-based regeneration specialist RE:GEN Group has been appointment to deliver the first phase of investment works on the iconic Grade II* Listed Byker Estate in Newcastle, since the transfer of engagements to Karbon Homes on 1 April 2021.
Avondale House on Raby Way is owned by BCT and rented by national veterans’ charity, Launchpad. The house includes 33 self-contained flats and is the city’s largest veterans’ accommodation provider.
Over 60 residents living at two sheltered housing schemes on the iconic Grade II* Listed Byker Estate in Newcastle were served delicious afternoon tea thanks to Karbon Homes.
The ownership of 1,800 homes on the iconic Grade II* listed Byker Estate formally transferred from Byker Community Trust (BCT) to Karbon Homes today, 1 April 2021.
