Compensation Payment – Important Information – Updated Monday 20 Dec @ 1:45pm

Our colleagues are continuing to call customers affected by the loss of heating and hot water to their homes last week.

We will call you in the next couple of days by phone to update you on how to claim your compensation for the inconvenience caused.

Customers now have the option of either redeeming a voucher code at ASDA for cash or you can request for the amount to be credited to your rent account.

You will also receive 100% off your heat charge payment for last week, which will automatically be credited to your account, so you don’t need to do anything.

How does the voucher work?

You will be given a voucher code, which is unique to your property, and you’ll be able to redeem the voucher for cash at ASDA on the Fossway in Byker. This is the only store that will accept these vouchers.

Due to Covid restrictions, please do not come to the neighbourhood housing office.

Please bear with us as it may take some time to contact all customers affected. If we call you and you are not available or you miss our call, please call us back or we’ll be in touch in the next day or two.

We want to get as many vouchers to our customers as soon as we can so that you can redeem them before Christmas.
