Ending my tenancy

Ending your tenancy is simple

Here's all you need to know

If you want to move out you must give us four weeks’ notice.

You can do this in several ways. You can:

We will then organise a home visit to carry out a property inspection and for you to sign the relevant documents.

Your tenancy must end on a Sunday and the keys to your home need to be returned by you before 12 noon the following Monday.

Rent is charged for four full weeks after you give notice to terminate your tenancy. If keys are returned after noon on the Monday following the end of your tenancy, rent will be charged for a further week. If you are receiving Housing Benefit or Universal Credit, this will be withdrawn from the date you leave your property.

If you leave your home without telling us, you will still be liable for four weeks rent.
